GARRETT YAZZIE, "JUNKYARD GENIUS", GIVES HIS FAMILY A NEW LIFE ON EXTREME MAKEOVER - HOME EDITION......
With input from the Extreme Home Makeover Design Team, Architect Duane Foster did considerable research to create and develope a Hogan-style home that would honor the customs and culture of the Navajo Nation.
On Tuesday April, 10, the ABC Extreme Home Makeover team began the leveling and re-building process in Northeast Arizona. On Tuesday, April 17th, Ty Pennington and the Yazzie family yelled "Move that Bus" revealing a sustainable and modern version of a Navajo traditional home.
This ABC Extreme Home Makeover show was aired on Sunday October28, 2007. The floor plan and design below was created for the TV show Extreme Makeover: Home edition Foster Architects is very proud to contribute to this worthy project.
